Sketchest — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 June 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how the Sketchest mobile app and website
(the “App”, available at sketchest.com) handle your
information. Sketchest is developed and operated by Nathan Baker (trading as
“circlesocial”), the developer named on the App’s Google Play and Apple App Store listings
(Android package com.finishthedrawing.app). In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our”
refer to Nathan Baker / circlesocial.
Sketchest is a daily drawing game: everyone is given the same word and the same random scribbles, and turns them into a drawing. You can browse and play without an account; you only need an account to post drawings, like, and appear on the leaderboard.
1. Information we collect
- Account information. If you sign up, we collect your email address and a password (stored and verified by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see your raw password) and a display name you choose.
- Content you create. Drawings you submit, captions/descriptions, and your likes. Submitted drawings are public — they appear in the daily gallery and Hall of Fame to all users.
- Device & usage data. Basic technical data such as app version, device type, language, and anonymous usage events, used to keep the App working and to improve it.
- Push notification token. If you enable notifications, a device push token so we can send you daily-word and like notifications. You can turn this off any time in the app.
- Advertising data. Ads are served by Google (AdMob in the apps, AdSense on the web), which may use device/advertising identifiers and cookies to show ads.
We do not collect your real name, contacts, precise location, or payment information.
2. How we use your information
- To operate the game — authenticate you, save and display your drawings, run the leaderboard, and send the notifications you opt into.
- To keep the service safe — moderate content, handle reports, and prevent abuse.
- To improve the App and to show ads that help keep it free.
3. Service providers we share data with
We use trusted third parties only to provide the service, each under their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase (authentication, database, app hosting) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google AdMob / AdSense (advertising) — policies.google.com/privacy
- Expo (app build & push notification delivery) — expo.dev/privacy
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Children
Sketchest is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
5. Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account and associated data at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account inside the app, which removes your account, your drawings, and your likes. You can also request deletion by email (see Contact). For full instructions see our Account & Data Deletion page.
6. Data retention
We keep your account and content until you delete them or ask us to. Anonymous, aggregated usage data may be retained to improve the App.
7. Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete your personal data, or withdraw consent, by using the in-app controls or contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable time.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date above will change and, for material changes, we will notify you in the App.
